Beginning nearly 50 years ago, Progressive Tool and Die, a small, locally owned metal manufacturing company in Dresser, Wisconsin had done well enough by 1999 to garner the attention of Stonehenge Partners, Inc. Stonehenge purchased them that year. Prior to that deal Denver Die and Molding, a plastics company located in Lakewood, Colorado was acquired in 1995. Stonehenge Partners renamed the organization Tenere.
Tenere today has entered a new era of growth, Tenere opened a sales office in Somerset, Wisconsin in 2008, and added additional metal and plastic machining capabilities in 2012. This quick growth drew the attention of The Watermill Group, who purchased Tenere that same year, along with Protogenic - a rapid prototyping company with 25 years experience – in 2013.
Half a century after it’s humble beginnings, Tenere has grown to offer a range of metal, plastic, and assembly solutions to better serve their customers in the ICT, aerospace, defense, HVAC, industrial, agricultural, commercial printing, and medical markets.
With a recently added sheet metal facility in Osceola, Wisconsin and FDM and Connex capabilities at Protogenic in 2014, Tenere continues to grow into expanding markets and position themselves to be one of the top metal and plastics companies in the country.
